Attacking duo earn accolades

Loan Watch: The latest round-up of our players in action elsewhere

17 April 2023

Two of our talented attacking players are continuing to shine with the finishing line on the horizon.

Morgan Williams had a weekend to remember, with an outstanding performance on Saturday for Eastbourne Borough.

The Welsh Under-19s international earned the man of the match award after he completed the full game on his first start for the Sussex club. “Morgs” was also included in the Non-League Paper’s Team of the Day.

Eastbourne Borough remained eighth in National League South, after the 3-0 victory over Hemel Hempstead Town, in the hunt for a play-off place.

Zach Robinson took his tally to twelve goals last Tuesday night, in now thirty appearances for Dundee. He also collected the man of the match award.

Zach scored twice to give the Dee a commanding lead in the Scottish Championship fixture, as they went on to beat Raith Rovers 3-1. Dundee lead the way by a point at the top of table after the weekend action.

Striker Aaron Cosgrave made an appearance right at the end of King’s Lynn Town’s 3-2 victory over Southport on Saturday. The Linnets top the National League North table by a point with two games to go, but second place AFC Fylde do have a game in hand.

Defender Ben Mason travelled to the Footes Lane Stadium yesterday. Ben was on the bench for Basingstoke Town’s 3-2 victory away to Guernsey in the Isthmian South Central, in front of a crowd of 859.

The Hampshire club are level on points with leaders Walton & Hersham, but with an inferior goal difference. The previous day, defender Mathias Tepe gained more game time for relegated Tooting & Mitcham United in their single-goal defeat to Leatherhead.

Defender Jola Lahan got on the scoresheet for Corinthian-Casuals, with their second goal in the 4-2 defeat at Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday. Versatile Ibrahim Bangura played for 71 minutes of Kingstonian’s 2-0 defeat away to Cray Wanderers, but more significantly they’ve avoided dropping out of the Isthmian Premier.

Forward Paris Lock was on the bench for Chatham Town, as they wrapped up the Isthmian South East title with a 2-1 victory over Cray Valley PM in front of a crowd of 2,329.

Finally, goalkeeper Max Foulkes has returned on loan to Combined Counties League Division One side Molesey, who face a packed fixture schedule between now and the end of the campaign - starting with an away match at Westside tonight.
