Our multi-award winning partner charity, Dons Local Action Group (DLAG), will be taking the plunge this Spring.
On 28th May, at Old Ruts Sports Club, Poplar Road, SW19 3JS, DLAG will host a fundraising bungee jump to raise crucial funds for the group fighting the effects of poverty in south west London.
With UK food poverty soaring from 12 per cent in January 2022 to 22 per cent in January this year, demand for support from DLAG is rising and funds are urgently needed to maintain and increase support levels.
The bungee jump is open to anyone from 14-years-old and above and will take place at the annual Dons Local Action Family Fun Day. Big-hearted daredevils are invited to sign up and jump/fly/leap for this brilliant cause and to raise funds from friends and family.
“This is such an important fundraiser for the charity and the community it supports,” said Xavier Wiggins, Co-founder. “Whether you are Wimbledon fans or not, we encourage as many of you as possible to take part, spread the word, and encourage your contacts to back you in this. It really is vital as we strive to reach our £50,000 fundraising target.”
Participants do not pay to enter but are encouraged to raise £300 each and more, if possible.
Those wishing to enter and set-up their fundraising pages should visit this page.
