Put a spring in your step before the Tranmere home game on Saturday 30 September by signing up for a club challenge with a difference.
The Wombles Walk offers a platform for supporters, staff, and participants from our community programmes to combine for an event that raises funds for our Foundation to continue its excellent work in the local area.
The 10km walk circles Wimbledon Common, so that means you can take a trip down memory lane to the place where AFC Wimbledon famously held football trials 21 years ago!
There's a 5 km walk or a 10 km equivalent, with both ending at the Cherry Red Records Stadium in time for the big game.
Walks are open to everyone and are non-competitive with the emphasis on fun.
The last Womble Walk event was a tremendous success - and we're hoping this one will be even bigger and better!
All participants will receive fundraising support, an AFC Wimbledon Foundation t-shirt and a training programme, created by Execfit, to help prepare for the walk.
There are rest stops with refreshments along the route and you’ll get your finishers medal at our stadium before the game.
Aim of the challenge
All money raised will enable AFC Wimbledon Foundation to reach, engage and inspire 1,000 more local people each week - £20,000 as the ultimate target.
Entry requirements
Adults: £15 and a £100 fundraising target
Under-18’s: £5 and a £30 fundraising target
There will be FREE match tickets for all fundraisers
Sign-up by below via our Foundation's website.
