Striker Quaine Bartley caught the eye on debut for Wingate & Finchley in the Isthmian League on Saturday.

Having come on as a substitute for the last half hour against Folkestone Invicta, one of his efforts hit the post; however, Quaine couldn’t prevent a defeat as his new side went down 2-0

Kwaku Frimpong made his debut as a substitute in a Bank Holiday Monday defeat to Wingate & Finchley. He was then included in Potters Bar Town’s starting line-up for Saturday’s game against Billericay Town. However, the midfielder was shown a yellow card as they went on to lose 2-0 for the second successive game this year.

Defender Luke Jenkins had a tough debut for Weymouth in the National League South. Having linked up with former Dons goalkeeper Zaki Oualah, they faced an Ebbsfleet United team that contained Craig Tanner and Dom Poleon. The Kent side went on to win 4-1.

Young goalkeeper Max Foulkes earned praise from his manager at the weekend for his performance in helping claim a point.

Molesey boss Peter Doherty said: “Max made an outstanding tip over the bar.” The Moles drew one-all with Rayners Lane at Walton Road in the Combined Counties League Division One.

Left-wing back Ollie Downs came off the bench for Fleet Town, who won 2-1 at Farnham Town in the Combined Counties League Southern Division.
