Update on bringing bottles into the stadium

Dons supporters permitted to bring one plastic bottle each into stadium

30 March 2023

After consultation with the EFL, local authorities and the SGSA (Sports Ground Safety Authority), our supporters will be permitted to bring plastic bottles into the ground for all fixtures.

We had sought clarity on this matter with a view to updating the Club’s ground regulations after welcomed feedback from supporters at recent matches.

As a result, every home supporter will be able to bring a maximum of one 500 ml plastic bottle (or an equivalent drinks container as used by children under 16 or those with medical requirements), but if the seal has been opened prior to entering the turnstiles we reserve the right to check for alcohol content so we can do our best to avoid spectators drinking in view of the pitch. If alcohol is found in bottles the contents will be fully dispensed prior to admission.

Please note that supporters can obtain drinking water on request from any of the catering units around the ground (served in a plastic cup) and completely free of charge, as well as from the Phoenix Pub.

Furthermore, following consultation the Club will not be removing bottle tops on plastic drink containers sold within the ground.

Away supporters will be not be permitted to bring bottles inside the stadium under any circumstances.
