The Chase was well and truly ON at the Cherry Red Records Stadium as An Evening with Shaun Wallace took centre stage!
The ‘Dark Destroyer’ himself gave never before seen insight into his life, inspirations and of course quizzing, providing a memorable experience for fans both young and old.
Following an opening interview section the floor was opened up to questions from the audience, as attendees asked about his TV career with ITV and his love of football.
Then came the main event of the evening as fans were offered the opportunity to take on the Chaser himself in a Wimbledon version of the hit show. Five challengers took the stage however Shaun held his own to beat all comers – meaning it was ‘just another day at the office!’
We also had an auction in aid of the AFC Wimbledon Foundation, with Dons memorabilia and Chase themed prizes helping to raise over £2,000 that will be put directly towards helping those who need it in our local community.
The night was finished off with a book signing, allowing fans to walk away with a unique memento and meet the man himself as the evening was rounded off in style.
And better still – there are already early discussions about Shaun looking to return to the Cherry Red Records Stadium early next year to host a quiz of his own, so watch this space!
