Ben Mason has been given a valuable opportunity to gain more first-team experience elsewhere after he signed for Braintree Town on loan.
The 19-year-old right-back, who impressed during a loan spell at Basingstoke Town last season, will get a chance to play at a higher level with the National League South side.
Our Acadamy Manager Michael Hamilton believes it's the right move at this stage of his career for Ben, who progressed through our youth system and helped our young Dons to defeat Burnley in the FA Youth Cup.
"Having experienced a successful loan last season with Basingstoke, this is a great opportunity for Ben to take the next step up in his development," said Michael. "We are all excited to see how he transitions to this level and we would like to thank Braintree for giving him this opportunity."
Ben could make his debut on Saturday with Braintree due to host Worthing.
