Two Decades Together: Kings of Kingsmeadow

Second instalment of new series

16 April 2024

Before the romanticism of our long-awaited return to Plough Lane, we had the glory years that we took in at Kingsmeadow, with plenty of legends being made along the way.

To some those days feel like they happened only yesterday, particularly with the celebratory event of our 21-year partnership with Sports Interactive bringing some familiar faces together recently.

Jon Main’s goals helped us to rise through the leagues under the stewardship of Terry Brown, whilst Mickey Haswell put in a series of worldy displays from left-back as part of one of the meanest defences around.

Here the duo recall their fondest memories in yellow and blue, all while being reunited with a shirt that holds very good memories for the pair of them!

Watch the interview, from our Sports Interactive event, below.

We also took our chance to catch up with our former centre-back Ben Judge, who is still given a hero’s welcome every time he attends matches at the new incarnation of the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

‘Judgey’ speaks about the family feel which took the Club to new heights and catching up with his old manager who he still refers to warmly as ‘Browny’.

Hear what Ben had to say below!
