Matchday Guide: Support the Dons in pursuit of landmark win

Watch the Dons take on Mansfield

26 January 2024

Johnnie Jackson's men need more of your fantastic support to spark a win that could reignite our season.

The Dons are still searching for a first league win in 2024, but we're still well within range of the play-off zone - only four points off the top-seven - so it's certainly all to play for with 19 League Two games remaining.

And we're primed for another big yellow and blue occasion on Saturday with 7,800 tickets sold so far for the visit of automatic promotion contenders Mansfield.

Show us more of that famous Wimbledon support and lift the Dons to an important victory.

Below is our full Matchday Guide ahead of the big game.

Tickets

With tickets selling fast, we recommend booking your ticket as soon as possible.

Don’t forget that prices rise by £2 if purchased in-person on matchdays, so it’s worth booking in advance, using the link below.

Dons versus Mansfield Tickets

Our Ticket Office in the Club Shop will be open from 11am until kick-off, and then after the match. Buy your ticket on the day from here, or buy and collects tickets for other games.

Tribute to Mick Pugh

There will be a moment of applause before kick-off for long-serving volunteer Mick Pugh, who passed away recently.

Mick provided over half a century of service to the Club as a volunteer and we'll have a heartfelt tribute to him in the matchday programme.

Join us before the game to remember a man who is warmly remembered at Wimbledon.

Welcome to our friends from Boca Juniors!

As we announced yesterday, we'll be joined on Saturday by supporters of the Argentinian giants. After playing in a five-a-side game versus our staff and volunteers, there'll be an exchange of shirts with Boca fans, who will then go on a tour of the stadium before watching the game.

It's an ongoing celebration of the yellow and blue connection that binds the two clubs, so please give our friends from South America a real Wimbledon welcome.

Opening times

The turnstiles will be open for home supporters from 1 pm tomorrow - entry is via gates 2-5. For those supporters who have booked hospitality, entry is via gate one.

The away turnstiles (gate six and seven) will be open from 1.30 pm. Mansfield supporters can choose from a wide selection of food and drink options, available from the area behind the Cherry Red (North) Stand.

It's well worth first-time visitors taking a look at a map of the stadium, plus other key details, by accessing our designated page on the official website.

Zero tolerance to drugs

We would like to remind supporters that any conviction for attempting to bring Class A drugs into any football stadium will result in a court-imposed Football Banning Order.

Club Shop

There's still a chance to snap-up a bargain with items remaining from our January Sale.

You can pop in from 11 until 3pm, at half-time, or from 5 pm until 6 pm.

Dons Local Action Group Collection Point

There will once again be collection points for DLAG on Saturday with supporters invited to donate food to those less fortunate in the community.

Masterminded by our award-winning Dons Local Action Group (DLAG), fans will be able to drop off tinned supplies - with an urgent need for tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned fish, tinned fruit, and tinned pulses. Food collection points will be located at every entrance into the stadium.

Man of the Match presentation

This will be hosted in the Viticult Lounge after the match (at approximately 5.20 pm).

Those who have booked hospitality will be invited to stay on for post-match, but all supporters will be welcome upstairs to enjoy a drink or two and the entertainment.

For those not in hospitality, you will need to join a queue close to the autograph zone in the undercroft. You will then be shown to the Viticult Lounge/ Mezzanine area for the Man of the Match presentation.

If you are sitting in the Cappagh Stand for the game please use the stairs in the pub, or if you are sitting in the Ry or Reston Waste Stand, make your way across the area behind the Reston Waste Stand and past the pub.

Unfortunately, no spectators will be able to leave the ground and re-enter to access the queue as this goes against our licensing terms.

Entry is on a first-come, first-serve basis, with fans will only allowed up once it is safe to do so after fans leaving the ground post-match.

Dons TV

Our popular Club Show is available on our YouTube and Facebook channels before and after the game.

Live pre-match and post-match shows are hosted from inside the Cherry Red Records Stadium, regularly featuring first-team staff and special guests.

Pre-match shows start from 2.15-2.30 pm on Saturdays with post-match reaction starting approximately 10 minutes after the final whistle.

To tune in, simply subscribe to AFC Wimbledon’s Youtube and Facebook channels, then set up a reminder for the pre-match and post-match shows for the game.

And make sure you message us while we're broadcasting! We'll pick up what you have to say and respond live on air.

For a taste of what you can expect, take a look at the video below.

Autograph Zone

There'll be an opportunity for fans to get signatures from our players after the game by accessing our autograph zone in the under croft (behind the Club Shop).

Kids Zone

This will be open on Saturday. Fans will be able to meet Haydon, our favourite Womble, and there’s also plenty of fun activities for children to get involved with. The Kids Zone is positioned on the concourse behind the Family Section on the corner of the Reston Waste and Ry stands.

Specifically for kids aged between 5-12, it is open from 1.30pm to 2.45pm with activities organised on a rotation basis. Please note that children MUST be supervised by parents at all times.

Reusable cups

We have a reusable beer cup scheme to replace all single use plastic pint cups around the stadium. Once you’ve finished your beer, please dispose of your cup within the reusable cup bins located around the stadium.

For more information on planning your day with us, including guidance on bringing bottles into the stadium, see the extensive section on our website.
