The Crazy Gang collection! Retro range incoming

Following the extremely popular release of the reissued 1987/88 Spall home and away league shirts, Saturday sees the launch of the second half of the collection from that famous season!

On 14 May 1988, Bobby Gould led his band of brothers onto the hallowed Wembley turf, where they were introduced to Princess Diana before shocking the football world by beating champions-elect Liverpool in front of nearly 100,000 people and lifting the FA Cup.

Three items from that day complete the 87/88 reissue collection and will be available from the Club Shop when it opens its doors at the earlier time of 10am on Saturday before the important game in the afternoon. Details of what you can add to your wardrobe are as follows:

  • FA Cup Final Shirt: Available in adult sizes from S to 6XL, priced at £50. Also available in junior sizes from 3-4 up to 13-14, priced at £30. The junior versions do not have the Carlsberg sponsor on the front due to current regulations.
  • FA Cup Final Walkout Jacket: Never previously available to buy. Available in adult sizes from S to 6XL, priced at £60. Also available in junior sizes from 3-4 to 13-14, priced at £40. As with the playing shirt, the junior versions do not feature the Carlsberg logo.
  • FA Cup Final Polo: As worn by legendary Coach Don Howe and Head Physio Steve Allen on the big day and also never available to fans before, these are available in adult sizes S to 6XL for £30 each.

All three items will be on sale exclusively in the Club Shop from 10am on Saturday, before being released online when the Club Shop closes its doors at 3.30pm.

Head of Retail Mat Haylock is looking forward to a busy day: “Having been at Wembley on that sweltering day in 1988, I was like an over-excited child when I learned of the opportunity to produce mementos of the occasion that had never been available to fans before. The walkout jacket really is a thing of beauty and doesn’t seem to have aged one bit. I think that on Saturday, perhaps even more than most other days, this release provides our fans with a great chance to showcase the pride we all have in our football club’s rich and cherished history.”

Remember it’s an early kick-off on Saturday, so the shop will be open from 10am until kick-off, then at half time and again for an hour after the final whistle until 3.30pm.
