James Woodroof today started his new role as Managing Director at AFC Wimbledon.
As we announced in December, James will oversee our business, brand and stadium operations, leading the executive team.
AFC Wimbledon PLC Chair Mick Buckley said: “A warm welcome from the boards and everyone at the Club to James, who is starting in his new role today. With his considerable experience in football and vision to move Wimbledon forward, I’m sure that James will be a big success here.
“There will be opportunities to get to know James in the coming weeks and months, including a club update event planned for the evening of 9 April. Watch this space for more details on that.”
James joins us after leaving Crystal Palace, where he was Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. During his seven years there he led several notable projects, including two documentary series and a digital transformation programme.
Prior to joining Crystal Palace in 2017, James worked for Liverpool FC and the England & Wales Cricket Board, with roles in content, marketing and public relations.
