Signed in January, Armani arrived on loan from Forest Green Rovers until the end of the season.
A relatively new recruit having only signed for Rovers from Torquay United in June of last year, the 25-year-old racked up a record of 15 goals and 10 assists for the Gulls last season – putting him amongst the most creative players in the National League.
Born in Portsmouth, Armani was with Southampton’s academy from the age of 12, before signing his first professional deal in April 2015. After leaving the Saints, he signed for Oxford United, who duly loaned him to Woking in order to gain regular first-team experience.
Torquay secured his signature in the summer of 2019, with the midfielder going on to enjoy the best spell of his career to date, playing a part in 82 games across three seasons prior to his departure.
The set-piece specialist will now be aiming to make his mark on League Two after linking up with us until May.
