Injury setback for Will

Defender sidelined

1 October 2022

A scan has revealed damage to Will Nightingale’s knee, with the centre-back set to be ruled out for a number of months.

He sustained the injury during our 2-2 draw away at Bradford City and will now begin his rehabilitation as he looks to return to action at the earliest opportunity.

Speaking about the injury sustained by Will, Head Physiotherapist Tim Maynard said:

“Will has frustratingly sustained an injury to his knee; what is most remarkable is that he sustained it in the first few minutes against Bradford, but he carried on and played through the pain barrier. The injury is likely to keep him out for two to three months.”

We wish Will all the best with his recovery and look forward to seeing him back in a Wimbledon shirt.
