The Club recently admitted to an FA charge of Mass Confrontation, for its part during the matchday of 2 March 2024.

At a Regulatory Commission, the Club were issued with a fine of £8,000, which represented 80 per cent of the maximum levy (and was proportionately higher than any other fine issued to a Premier League or EFL club for a similar offence in the last two years).

It was also more than treble the fine imposed on the opposition for its part in the mass confrontation.

At the request of the Club,  this was reviewed by an FA Appeal Board, who have declined the Dons’ assessment that the fine was disproportionate to the level of the breach of FA regulation. As a result, the club will be fined £8,000.

The only option for the Club in this scenario is to take the decision to arbitration - which would risk significant additional costs. Therefore, we have accepted the decision and are focusing on preparations for next season.
