Launch of football sessions for girls
AFC Wimbledon Foundation will tomorrow night introduce another programme to increase participation in football with the launch of a Girls Development Centre.
In conjunction with the EFL Trust, our Foundation coaches will be running “fun football” sessions for girls aged from Under-10s to Under-14s.
The sessions will run every Tuesday at the Kingsmeadow Athletics Centre (3G pitches) from tomorrow until 29 November in the first term.
Qualified Foundation coaches aim to create a fun and structured environment, consisting of small-sided, skill-based games.
The timetable for each age group is as follows:
5.00 pm until 6.00 pm Under-10s (years 3 and 4)
6.00 pm until 7.00 pm Under-11s (years 5 and 6)
7.00 pm until 8.00 pm (Under-14s (years 7 and 8)
Sessions are priced at £6 or £42 for the term.
