Foundation will be staging a host of activities on match day

Young Dons can enjoy free football sessions and get their pictures taken with the League 2 Play-Off Trophy as part of our “AFC Wimbledon Foundation Day” on Saturday 29 October.

To coincide with the Bradford home game, the Foundation will be hosting several events to spread awareness about the work that we do in the community.

Foundation coaches will be putting on free football sessions aimed at young footballers at the nearby Kingsmeadow Athletics Centre.

There will also be a “first-team signing stand area”, where all fans can get photographs and autographs with players. The League 2 Play-Off Trophy, memorably won by Neal Ardley’s men in May, will be on show for supporters to get their photographs with.

The ever-popular inflatable shoot-out will also be set-up outside the stadium with prizes on offer for those up to the challenge!

AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s Sports Development Manager Joe Roberts said: “The idea of the day is to raise awareness about the Foundation and we want our supporters to be proud of the work that we do in the community. Events like this highlight the work that we do every week in schools and through coaching sessions for people of all ages. There will be a bucket collection for the Foundation to raise funds for existing projects and exciting initiatives that we have coming up.”
