Schedule confirmed for Vintage day
Wee Willie Harris will be launching an action-packed schedule of entertainment on Sunday when the Cherry Red Records Stadium hosts our Vintage event.
The British rock and roll singer from the 1950s, famously known as “Britain’s wild man of rock n’ roll” for his energetic stage shows and TV performances will open the all-day event (see full schedule below), which costs just £7 for adults and is free for children under the age of 15.

In the evening, The Metrotone Doo Wop band will be on hand to entertain featuring Den Hegarty from 1950s-styled band Darts. Combined day and evening tickets are just £16. All funds raised from the event goes towards the club.
Commercial Executive, Jim Piddington, said: “We are offering a packed schedule of events, which will appeal to a wide range of the community. It is a bit of a change from the normal events which we stage and it’s something different for the area too.”

9.00 am - Doors open for sellers
11.00 am - Wee Willie Harris opens event. Tea and coffee is available in the diner. Music in the middle and back bar starts
12.00 am - Bars open. Food is available in the diner. DJs start in back bar.
1.00 pm - Jive class in back bar
1.30 pm - DJs in back bar
2.30 pm – Sixteen and the sidewinders first set
3.00 pm - DJs in back bar
3.30 pm – Black Elvis
4.00 pm – Wee Willie Harris presents People’s Choice Car Award on stage back bar.
4.10 pm – DJs in back bar
4.30 pm - Sixteen and the Sidewinders second set
5.00 pm – Market stalls close in both bars. DJs in back bar
6.00 pm – Back bar shuts. The Girl Can’t Help It on stage in the middle bar
7.30 pm – middle bar closes. Back bar closes. DJs in back bar.
8.30 pm – The Metrotones perform live.
10.00 pm – DJs in back bar
10.30 pm – Bar closes.
