Neal Ardley has praised Andy Barcham’s return to form after he provided the spark for AFC Wimbledon’s stunning fightback at Walsall on Saturday.
Barcham has been on the substitutes’ bench in recent weeks, but the manager unleashed him to devastating effect at Walsall with the flying winger providing evidence that he is back to his best.
“Andy Barcham has been one of my most consistent players in the last two or three years,” said Neal. “Barchy is a player who has got that bit of zip in his game, but a few weeks back in training and in games he just looked like he needed to be taken out. Harry (Forrester) was playing well. Barchy is a fantastic lad and he is a bubbly character around the place. I noticed that he was getting that zip back into his game and when he came on in the second-half (at Walsall) he made a huge difference, so we are delighted.”
