Matchday Guide: A tribute to Dennis

Tickets still available to watch the Dons

15 July 2022

We’re back on home turf with a bang on Saturday as we host a double bill of match action – and tickets are available for you to join us.

Give our new manager Johnnie Jackson a warm welcome as he takes charge of his first Wimbledon home match with Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town as the visitors (2.30 pm kick-off). Following this game, our women also take on Ipswich, so there’s plenty of incentive to make a day of it!

The matches are in memory of Dennis Lowndes, who made such a big contribution to the Club over many years.

Below is a short guide to your Dons matchday.

Tickets

With it being a pre-season game, the Cappagh (West) Stand will be the only section open for home fans. Entry will be via gate two on Plough Lane.

Make sure you book in advance (right up until the afternoon of the game) to buy at the cheaper rate. Tickets are available for £12 adults and £6 for juniors.

Book from our online ticket shop

Please note that the price of an adult ticket will rise to £14 if purchased in person on the day (from our club reception for home fans). Away supporters will be accommodated in the North Stand with tickets available to buy in person from the away ticket booth at the same price. Ipswich fans can only access the stadium by Gate 7, which is accessed via St Martin’s Way or Maskell Road.

For fans who have purchased matchday hospitality, please enter the stadium via Gate 1, which will open at 1.00 pm. The Cherry Red Records Stadium will open for all home supporters at the same time.

Match Programme

There will be a two-page tribute to Dennis Lowndes, as put together by his family, with pictures highlighting his lifelong support for the Dons. Your matchday programme will be a 16-page edition, covering all of our pre-season home games. Look out for our programme sellers before the game.

Snap-up smart new hummel kits

Following the reveal of our fantastic new home strip, you can buy it for the FIRST time on Saturday.

We’ve got 500 of our new strips in store initially, so make sure you get in quickly while stocks last!

Our stylish new walk out jackets will also be available to buy.

Get your hands on our new hummel gear and wear it for the first time at the game!

The shop will be open from 11.00 am until 6.00 pm tomorrow, including during the game, offering you a chance to get club merchandise when it’s less busy.

Food and drink

There will be burger and ice cream vans – both located behind the South London Movers Stand. Benches will be available in this area, so come along and bask in the sunshine!

The usual catering and drinks facilities will be open for supporters to access in the West Stand.

The Phoenix Pub also will be open throughout the day and after the women's game. Please note that, in line with rising costs, we’ve had to increase the prices of food and drinks.

Fans are permitted to bring water in a clear plastic bottle if they wish. However, no glass, cans, or metal bottles will be allowed. Thermos flasks are permitted.

For a map of the stadium, and other information, including details about bringing bags into the ground, see our Matchday Guide section on the official website.
