Closes Wednesday 26 April at 4pm

The choice is yours!

Now’s your chance to nominate the winners for our Player of the Year awards, with voting now open for six different categories – including the introduction of Goal of the Season.

The management from our men’s and women’s first-team have chosen two players each, nominated for their impacts on and off the field of play.

Below is a full overview of why the quartet are deserved nominees for our prestigious Club Player of the Year award:

HANNAH BILLINGHAM

Hannah joined AFC Wimbledon for the 2016/17 season, and has captained the women’s team since 2018. She embodies what it means to wear the armband for the Dons. She is not just the player with the most appearances for the women’s team (141) - she also steps up when it really matters and scores crucial goals, provides pinpoint assists and stops dangerous attacks.

Off the pitch she supports the squad and management in all attempts to push the club forward. In interviews with the BBC she has shown herself to be the perfect ambassador for the whole Club.

JACK CURRIE

Jack has expressed himself as a footballer and an individual since making his goal-scoring debut in July. Dovetailing his football with an undergraduate degree in Business Management, Jack is a willing and impressive ambassador for the Dons, put in focus when he sat on an open forum at the AFC Wimbledon Education Hub launch – showcasing the importance of education and widening your own horizons. Jack has been ever willing to represent the Club and its community and embodies the spirit of AFC Wimbledon.

LAUREN ALLEN

Lauren became a Don for the 2021/22 season, and having previously played professionally in Iceland, she got stuck in straight away. When struggling with injuries, she has continued to turn up to every training session and every game, supporting the team at all times.

She is the first person to put her hand up to help the AFC Wimbledon Foundation deliver sessions to young people in our community. She can also be found in the stands of the Cherry Red Records Stadium, supporting the men’s first-team through thick and thin.

WILL NIGHTINGALE

Now in his tenth year as a pro at the Club, Will is part of the Dons infrastructure, giving everything he has to it. Some commanding performances on the pitch have been reflected off of it too; where he has often been seen helping at the Foundation Zone on a matchday and offering Club staff his time at the Reception Desk and in Hospitality areas. He is a keen supporter of all the Club’s community projects, and always represents the Club in an exemplary manner.
