Ryan McLean delivered his most productive performance of his loan spell with Kidderminster at the weekend - and he’s hungry for even more.
Our summer signing from Hereford, who got on the scoresheet with our Goal of the Month for August in the Carabao Cup win over Coventry, notched his first for the National League club on Saturday. Harriers beat Stourbridge 4-1 at Aggborough in the third round of the FA Trophy and Ryan scored one and helped set up two more in the victory.
“It was great to get off the mark and help out with winning a penalty and setting up another,” said Ryan. “I hope to get some more during the rest of my time at Kidderminster.”

Ryan put the hosts in front after fourteen minutes, when he capitalised on a defensive error, got the better of Stourbridge goalkeeper Charlie Price and slotted the ball into an empty net.
Nine minutes later Ryan was fouled in the area by the keeper and a re-taken penalty by Ashley Hemmings doubled the advantage. After 34 minutes it was three, when Ryan threaded the ball through for Hemmings to finish. Hemmings would go on to complete his hat-trick.

That was Ryan’s eighth appearance in Kidderminster colours, having also figured for them in the FA Cup too.
“To be honest, I just want to play as much as I can, get goals and help the team in any way possible,” added Ryan.
“I’ve enjoyed my time at Kiddy so far, we’ve picked up form these last few weeks, I’ve been getting plenty of minutes and we’re now unbeaten in four - which has been an improvement.”
