Aaron Cosgrave claimed a brace at the weekend to take his tally to three goals in his first two appearances for King’s Lynn Town.

The forward, on a month’s loan to the side second in the National League North, scored early on his debut and added a double at Leamington in a 3-0 victory on Saturday.

Aaron got the last touch on another early effort on goal from Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain, and then he added a well-taken second before coming off in the 81st minute.

Midfielder Alfie Bendle turned 18 on Friday and the following day he played for 74 minutes, in Eastbourne Borough’s 3-1 victory away to Dulwich Hamlet in National League South.

In the same division, defender Luke Jenkins made an early clearance off the line for Weymouth at Oxford City. However, the visitors still went on to lose 3-1. Winger Dylan Adjei-Hersey was an unused substitute for Hungerford Town who drew one-all with Chippenham Town.

Forward Quaine Bartley played for just under an hour, before being substituted in the 57th minute in Wingate & Finchley’s 3-1 defeat at Margate in the Isthmian Premier. He had a chance just after the half hour mark that went over the crossbar. Midfielder Kwaku Frimpong came on for the last eighteen minutes of Potters Bar Town’s 2-0 defeat at Bowers & Pitsea.

Defender Ben Mason came off the bench in the closing stages for leaders Basingstoke Town, as they beat Merstham 3-1 in the Isthmian South Central.

Left-wing back Ollie Downs was named in the starting line-up and went on to help Fleet Town to a third successive victory in the Combined Counties League, Premier South. The Hampshire club won 1-0 away to Horley Town. Goalkeeper Max Foulkes helped Molesey to a point in their one-all draw at CB Hounslow United in Division One.
