Plans for a Wimbledon Hall of Fame have been put on hold.
The project is a collaboration between The Dons Trust and AFC Wimbledon.
In recent months it has become clear that a significant amount of work and proper internal oversight by the Club was needed, so it was therefore decided to put the project on hold for the time being.
Much of the work to this point was carried out by a group of dedicated volunteers via a steering group who have kept the project on-track, something we are immensely grateful for. However, once the project is launched, it will be handed over to the Club to run on an ongoing basis, and it is for that reason that the project has been put on hold.
The project remains under the Dons Trust Board’s community theme group, with DT board member Mark Lewis retaining a place on the Hall of Fame steering group.
AFC Wimbledon and the Dons Trust will make a further announcement about recommencing the project later in the 2023/2024 season.
