Have you got a bit of spare time to pass on your knowledge about all things AFC Wimbledon?
If so, you could be an ideal candidate to be a Tour Guide at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
No experience is necessary, just a love for the Club, good knowledge about AFC Wimbledon, a friendly manner, and good communication skills.
Join fellow WiSH (Wimbledon in Sporting History) volunteers and showcase our club to the community, bringing the Cherry Red Records Stadium to life.
When you would need to be available
Our tours are predominantly Fridays and Saturdays and are no more than two tours per day, starting at 12 noon and finishing around 3.30pm.
Matchday tours start at around 10:30am. We require additional tour guides due to the success and growth and also to provide flexibility to cover the tours. On average you would be covering no more than 2-3 tour days per month. We need volunteers who can cover either days - or even just a Saturday slot.
Extensive training for the role will be provided, including the following:
- Shadowing current Tour Guides to gain exposure to the different styles we have.
- A detailed overview of the tour stops we currently use and the information that we like to provide at each point.
- Coaching available on request from a current tour guide, either in person on the tour, or away from it.
All tour guides are encouraged to develop their own delivery style as that means people will get the best possible experience if you are comfortable in the way you want to deliver the experience.
