Join us at the Walsall game for a special celebration of the 2023/24 campaign.
We’ll be presenting all of our player awards throughout the day, culminating with an end of season party for all in the Vitcult Lounge (on the second floor at the stadium) from 6.30 pm.
After our women’s team won the league last weekend to earn promotion, we’ll be celebrating their promotion success and a much-improved season for Johnnie Jackson’s men.
Make sure you take your seat early on Saturday as we’ll be making our first presentations of the day at 2.15 pm with the Junior Dons and WDON Player of the Year accolades.
Then our women’s team and staff will take to the pitch from 2.45 pm, embarking on a lap of honour that will give our fans an opportunity to salute the Champions!
Following the match, we’ll be doing the usual Player of the Match presentation on the pitch, along with the Young Player and Player of the Year awards from both our teams.
And everyone is invited to make a day of it – our end of season party gets underway from 6 pm in the Viticult Lounge.
Open to all ticket holders, entry will be on a first come, first served basis through reception. In the same way as our usual Player of the Match celebrations, those not in hospitality will need to join a queue close to the autograph zone (back of the Club Shop), before being shown to the Viticult Lounge/Mezzanine area.
The award ceremony will kick-off at 6.30 pm with the rest of the awards announced, including the Players’ Player of the Year votes, Goals of the Season, and the winner of the prestigious Club Player of the Year.
As well as showing highlights of the season on screen, we’ll also have DJ Joshua Roberts on site to help get the party started!
For those supporters who want to enjoy a drink in the Phoenix Pub, there’ll still be an opportunity to watch the ceremony as it will be shown on TV screens in our stadium watering hole.
The full schedule for Saturday is as follows:
- 2.15 pm – Junior Dons, WDON, and Dons TV presentations on the pitch
- 2.45 pm – Women’s lap of honour
- 5.00 pm (five minutes or so after final whistle) – Player of the Match presentation, photos with mascots and match sponsors
- 5.05 pm – Awards for men’s and women’s Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year
- 6 pm – End of season party starts in Viticult Lounge
- 6.30 pm – Season overview video starts award ceremony, which includes interviews with both managers and Player of the Year winners. Rest of awards then presented, including Players’ Player of the Year, Goals of the Season, and Club Player of the Year.
