We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Hastings as AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Phil is currently Head of Community Programmes at Chelsea FC Foundation and will take up the role on Thursday 13 June.
Having previously also worked within Southampton FC’s Foundation, he’ll bring plenty of experience and great vision for the future of our award-winning charity.
Phil said: “I’m extremely excited to get started with AFC Wimbledon Foundation, and to work for a club which aims to be fully embedded in the community, serving its fantastic network of supporters. The charity is led by some extremely passionate trustees and staff, whose vision and values align closely to my own.
“I am really looking forward to enhancing the work of this great organisation locally and I’m joining the charity in a very strong position - proven by AFC Wimbledon winning the EFL Trust Community Club of the season in recent years. I can’t wait to get started, and to play my part in continuing to develop innovative and impactful programmes for our community.”
Our Foundation engages and inspires over 3500 people every week across Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston, in order to inspire, support and deliver positive change in our community.
