As Ronan Curtis tucked away a last-minute winner at the start of the month, you could’ve been forgiven for thinking he’d be the main talking point of that particular match…
However it was ball boy Noah who stole the hearts of many as he found himself at the centre of the euphoric celebrations that ensued – making him a viral sensation in the process!
As Ronan rushed towards the corner of our Cappagh Main Stand to celebrate, he picked up Noah, holding onto him tightly as a crowd of bodies surrounded them, creating an iconic moment that has been viewed millions of times on social media.
Since that moment Noah has found himself under the spotlight for all the right reasons, taking it in his stride with great maturity beyond his years.
From a chant dedicated to him from the Wimbledon fans to messages of great support online, it’s been an incredible journey for our ball boy.
Given the significance of the moment, we wanted to celebrate it properly, which is where the Bark Group came in. Fellow Dons supporter Ben Adams is co-founder of the business which is made up of creative, print and installation professionals. Ben got in touch with the Club about producing a special edition canvas that would be signed and then presented to Noah by Ronan himself.
Naturally we had to make this happen! After arrangements were put in place we were finally able to get the pair back together, culminating in the brilliant photo that you see at the top of the page.
It was a moment that sums up exactly what our club is about: community and family.
