Matchday Guide: Limited tickets for Good Friday

Everything you need to know ahead of the big game

28 March 2024

We’re all set for a mouthwatering Easter clash tomorrow, with the Dons set to lock horns with Harrogate Town in front of a crowd which is very close to selling out.

With this in mind we are encouraging our supporters to get in quick to buy their ticket in order to avoid missing out on a spot for this important match-up.

A victory for Wimbledon would breathe more life into our hopes of a push for the play-off places, so there’s never been a better time to get down to the Cherry Red Records Stadium and provide your backing.

Take a look at the full Matchday Guide below to make your day run smoothly.

Tickets

We only have a very limited amount of single tickets left for tomorrow’s game, which can be bought from our online ticket shop.

Help us get more support for the Dons

We launched our Ticket Resale initiative earlier this season – offering an extra incentive to let us know if you’re not attending.

That's because you'll receive 20 percent of the pro rata cost of your Season Ticket (20 per cent of 1/23) as credit to your online account if the ticket sells.

Please note that this system for ticket resale only applies to high-demand games that are close to selling out.

Season Ticket Holders can list their seat for sale through the ‘Account’ section on their ticketing accounts by selecting ‘Resell Tickets’.

You will need to log in and accept the terms and conditions.

Please note that ticket resale is not available online if you’re attempting to do so on behalf of an Under-18. Instead you will need to contact our ticketing team with your Season Ticket details.

Email tickets@afcwimbledon.ltd.uk or contact 020 3988 7863.

Fans advised to arrive early due to ticket checks

We’re advising supporters to arrive early in order to avoid queuing close to kick-off.

A number of arrests were made before our last home game after some individuals attempted to gain entry using fraudulent tickets.  As a result of this, and on guidance from the Metropolitan Police, there will be enhanced security checks tomorrow and ALL tickets will have to be scanned at the turnstiles. If your ticket doesn’t scan, you’ll have to obtain a duplicate from our ticket office in the Club Shop. So if you’ve had issues with your Season Ticket scanning this season, we strongly recommend letting our ticketing team know as soon as possible (tickets@afcwimbledon.ltd.uk) and arriving early to arrange a re-print.

Club Shop – limited edition shirts on sale!

We’re proud to announce a partnership with heritage British knitwear brand Warm & Wonderful that will result in the Dons wearing a one-off kit for this game. The kit, inspired by Warm & Wonderful’s iconic “black sheep” sweater, will be worn by our players tomorrow.

Proceeds raised from limited edition sales, as well as an auction organised by our partners MatchWornShirt, will be donated to two charities: War Child, a charity that has been helping children affected by conflict since 1993, and the AFC Wimbledon Foundation, which provides sporting opportunities for people of all ages in our local community.

War Child was chosen as a beneficiary, with their logo featuring on the sleeve, by our front of shirt partner Sports Interactive who maintain a long-running relationship with the charity.

The shirt will be worn in the pre-match warm-up and a stripped-back playing version – adapted to meet EFL rules – will be worn for the game itself.

The retail shirt will be available to buy from our online shop and in-store in our Club Shop from 11am tomorrow.

Opening times

The turnstiles will be open for home supporters from 1pm tomorrow - entry is via gates 2-6. For those supporters who have booked hospitality, entry is via gate one, from 12 noon onwards.

The away turnstiles (gate seven) will be open from 1.30pm. Harrogate supporters can choose from a wide selection of food and drink options, available from the area behind the Cherry Red (North) Stand.

It's well worth first-time visitors taking a look at a map of the stadium, plus other key details, by accessing our designated page on the official website.

Phoenix Pub open from 12 noon

Dons supporters can warm-up for the big one with a pint in the Phoenix Pub – and there’s Sky Bet Championship football to enjoy at lunchtime with Bristol City taking on Leicester City. The Phoenix Pub will be open from 12 noon, with entry via the Club Shop (please have your match ticket ready as it will be checked by a steward).

Food and Drink

We’ve got one of THE best food parks around and you can also enjoy a bite to eat from kiosks in the Cappagh (West Stand).

Our Food Park, situated behind the Reston Waste (South) Stand features the best of several different cuisines, including the following:

You can choose from an array of savoury sensations with the following food outlets represented:

  • La Posta
  • Dough Shack
  • Naked Chips
  • Ding Ding
  • MyPie
  • Come & Go (Souvlaki wraps – Greek food)

A wide selection of food offerings will be available from kiosks behind the Ry Stand and from the Cappagh Stand concourse, including the following:

  • Piglet’s Pantry pies and sausage rolls
  • Hot Dogs
  • Margarita Pizza slices
  • Dorito Nachos
  • Burgers including Vegan option

Our By The Horns Phoenix Pub is the place for quality beers, so enjoy a nice tipple or two after choosing from a wide range of culinary delights. We’ve also recently added Lucky Saint to the taps – arguably the number one non-alcoholic lager!

Programme

We’ve got a super special edition matchday programme lined up as we look to get Easter off to a great start tomorrow!

Priced at £3 and made up of 80 pages, our latest issue of ‘COYD’ previews our Sky Bet League Two clash with Harrogate Town and pays tribute to our ongoing successful 21-year partnership with Sports Interactive.

Featuring several features and a unique front cover, this issue also focuses on our efforts to support War Child, as we prepare to wear a one-off kit in aid of the important charity.

By purchasing a programme you not only contribute towards securing its long-term future but also gain access to exclusive content:

  • An exclusive piece that focuses on the special shirts we’ll be wearing, detailing the story behind the iconic design and the impact that we expect it to have in our efforts to raise money for a vital cause.
  • We take a look back over the last two decades at all of the home shirts we’ve worn with the Sports Interactive/Football Manager branding adorning the front.
  • Warm & Wonderful Founders Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne tell the story of how they went from selling jumpers on a market in London to becoming a globally recognised brand.
  • Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson and AFC Wimbledon Life Vice-President and co-founder Ivor Heller discuss what has become the longest-running shirt sponsorship in English football history.
  • Jon Main talks goals, glory and all the things in between as he looks back on his time with the Dons.
  • A Portuguese Wimbledon fan tells us why he’s found a new home at Plough Lane since moving to England.

Player of the Match presentation

This will be hosted in the Viticult Lounge after the match (at approximately 5.15pm).

Those who have booked hospitality will be invited to stay on for post-match, but all supporters will be welcome upstairs to enjoy a drink or two and the entertainment.

For those not in hospitality, you will need to join a queue close to the autograph zone in the undercroft. You will then be shown to the Viticult Lounge/Mezzanine area for the Player of the Match presentation.

If you are sitting in the Cappagh Stand for the game please use the stairs in the pub, or if you are sitting in the Ry or Reston Waste Stand, make your way across the area behind the Reston Waste Stand and past the pub.

Unfortunately, no spectators will be able to leave the ground and re-enter to access the queue as this goes against our licensing terms.

Entry is on a first-come, first-serve basis, with fans will only allowed up once it is safe to do so after fans leaving the ground post-match.

Dons TV

Our popular Club Show is available on our YouTube and Facebook channels before and after the game.

Live pre-match and post-match shows are hosted from inside the Cherry Red Records Stadium, regularly featuring first-team staff and special guests.

An exclusive interview with Ryan Johnson will be on Dons TV in the build-up to the game tomorrow, so make sure you tune in to our club channel.

Pre-match shows start from 2.15-2.30pm on Saturdays with post-match reaction starting approximately 10 minutes after the final whistle.

To tune in, simply subscribe to AFC Wimbledon’s YouTube and Facebook channels, then set up a reminder for the pre-match and post-match shows for the game.

And make sure you message us while we're broadcasting! We'll pick up what you have to say and respond live on air.

Specifically for kids aged between 5-12, it is open from 1.30pm to 2.45pm with activities organised on a rotation basis. Please note that children MUST be supervised by parents at all times.
